Thrills Sell-Out Crowd at Bowman Field

Beats Longstreth Regional All-Stars 15-0
May 8 - Team USA didn't
disappoint in their exhibition appearance at Historic Bowman Field in
front of a sell-out crowd of over 4,300.
The USA
squad hit five home runs on route to a 15-0 win over the Longstreth
Regional All-Stars. Jennie Finch (7-1) delighted the crowd going the

Games to be heard on ESPN Radio in ‘08

The
Williamsport Crosscutters have announced that their full schedule of games
will be heard on ESPN 1050 (WLYC) during the 2008 season.
Cutters VP of Marketing & Public Relations, Gabe Sinicropi
expressed the team’s excitement with the new partnership saying, “We see
this as a deal that makes sense for both sides and most importantly is
good for the fans. ESPN 1050’s new local ownership group is highly
committed to bringing local sports to the airwaves. They have exciting
plans for the future and the Cutters are glad that we are able to step up
and help them solidify their local sports presence. We look forward to
being part of their growth in the market”

Cutters New Mascot Has a
Name!
It's BOOMER!!
Over 1,100 Entries
Submitted for Contest
April 27 - The Crosscutters new blue mascot
finally has a name. A “Name the Mascot” contest sponsored by the
Williamsport Sun-Gazette asked fans to name the Cutters new furry blue
creature. Over 1,100 entries were submitted ranging literally from A to
Z.
After careful
consideration by the judges, who included retired Cutters mascot Rusty
Roughcut, the new character will be called
“Boomer”.

New Bowman Field Scoreboard to Debut in 2008!
The Williamsport Crosscutters have announced a significant
upgrade to Bowman Field for the 2008 season with a new LED scoreboard and
display system scheduled for a spring installation.
In announcing the new scoreboard, Vice-President General
Manager Doug Estes stated, “With the cooperation of the City of
Williamsport along with local and state grants,
we
have made many improvements to our historic ballpark for the players and
fans since our arrival in 1994. Now the time has come to bring our
scoreboard, one of the centerpieces of any stadium, up to the standards
that our fans demand and deserve.” The current Bowman Field scoreboard
has been in place since 1987 and before that in use for many years in
Buffalo, NY. Full
