Roth Shines as
Cutters Top Birds 6-1
July 5 -
Crosscutters ace Robert Roth, once again
pitched brilliantly as Williamsport beat Aberdeen 6-1 on Saturday night.
Roth, the Phillies 19th round
selection in the 2006 draft, didn’t allow a single run, and only
surrendered four hits, while striking out four Ironbirds. With the win,
Roth is now tied for the New York-Penn League lead in wins (4) and lowered
his ERA to 0.69. Reliever B.J. Rosenberg, worked the last two innings,
allowing one run on one hit, while striking out four to preserve the win
for Williamsport. Full

Holiday Week Excitement at Bowman Field
Military Personnel Receive Free Admission on July
4th
The holiday week is filled with fun and
games at Historic Bowman Field with the Williamsport Crosscutters.
The Brooklyn Cyclones come to town July 2-4, followed by the Aberdeen
IronBirds July 5-7.
Thursday (July 3 - 7:05pm) the first 1,000 fans will receive a free pack
of major league baseball cards courtesy of Topps. The Cutters will also
hold their 1st ever Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament during the
game. The champion will win the new video game, Guitar Hero-Aerosmith.

Captures Player of the Week Honors
June 30 - C Travis
d'Arnaud was named The Hardwood Store at Lewis Lumber Player of the week on
the Cutters for the week ending June 29. During the week of June
23-June 29 d'Arnaud hit .529 (10 for 19) with 7 RBI's.
The
Hardwood Store at Lewis Lumber presents the Cutters player of the week
award prior to a Cutters home game each week. At the end of the
season the Shop-Vac MVP will be awarded to a Williamsport Crosscutters
player as voted by his fellow teammates. |

Have you always wanted to show your stuff on a professional mound?
Well, here's your chance. With the Williamsport Crosscutters First
Pitch Package you can take the field with your future Phillies and show
off your best delivery to the whole crowd (and have a picture to prove
it)!
These memorable
opportunities are only available to the general public at select games and
are sure to go fast. The package includes; Throwing a ceremonial
first pitch prior to a Cutters game, a hot dog, soda, souvenir program and
Cutters cap, and your name in lights on the Bowman Field scoreboard.
In addition, your photo will be taken and emailed to you.
