The New York-Penn League Wants YOU!
Current Logo Announces Retirement at Season's End
The New York-Penn League which has roots dating back to 1891 “Wants You” to help design their new logo.  The current 14-member league has teams in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Vermont, New York, Maryland and Massachusetts.  Affiliates range from the NY Yankees, NY Mets, Boston Red Sox to the St. Louis Cardinals.   Its ownership even includes movie star Bill Murray of the Hudson Valley Renegades, Hall of Famer Cal Ripken, Jr. of the Aberdeen Ironbirds and former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jerome Bettis of the State College Spikes.   Its current mark has announced its retirement at the completion of the 2008 campaign.   

All serious artists are invited to submit their creative renditions to tbawmann@lowellspinners.com.  Designs are due no later than June 1st, 2008 and must only be done in Vector Format using Adobe Illustrator or Macromedia Freehand.  The winning logo will be voted on at a NYPL General Manager’s meeting at a later date.   

The logo winner will receive a prize packet from the New York Penn League consisting of a lifetime NYPL pass, merchandise, promotional items, opportunity to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at any site in the league, promotion on each team’s website and much more.

Official Contest Rules

The Cutters begin their NYPL schedule June 17 when they travel to Mahoning Valley. The team will return home on June 20 for their home opener against the Jamestown Jammers at 7:05pm.
