Cutters Release 2008 Promotional Calendar
7 fireworks shows & appearances by Mitch Williams &
Hall-of-Famer Goose Gossage highlight the lineup
The Williamsport Crosscutters have unveiled their slate of promotions for the club’s 38-game home schedule.  The 2008 home-opener is scheduled for Friday, June 20 as the Crosscutters host the Jamestown Jammers.  Opening Night 2008, presented by River Valley Transit & WILQ, will feature a schedule magnet giveaway and an appearance by touring national mascot Rally.  It will also mark the Bowman Field debut of new Cutters mascot BOOMER!.

Again this season, fans attending Cutters games can expect a mix of new and unique promotions along with the return of many fan favorites as Williamsport celebrates the Crosscutters 10th Anniversary Season. 

Fans will be treated to fireworks after every Saturday night home game (June 21, July 5, 12, 19, August 2, 16, 30) while giveaways will again be a large part of the calendar.   Scheduled giveaways include; Schedule Magnets – June 20, Autographed Baseball Cards – June 25, Cutters Retro Souvenirs – July 28, Card Sets – July 30, Team Photos – August 7 & August 26, Re-usable Bags – August 12, 10th Anniversary Posters – August 27, Boomer Bobbleheads – August 29, T-Shirts – September 1.   

Fans will have the opportunity to win special prizes on Win a Wii Night June 22, $50 gas cards at Petro-Palooza June 23, a new gas grill on July 4, & Hall-of Fame Autographs on August 15.   

Theme Nights in 2008 will include; The Price is Right Night on July 2, Rock, Paper Scissors Tournament on July 3, Christmas in July on July 7, 80’s Night July 12, Country Night July 19 and 70’s Night August 2. 

Entertainers, performers & celebrities will also be making visits to Williamsport including;

  • Skyy Dogs USA & Rockin’ Ray – July 13
  • The Phillie Phanatic – August 1
  • ZOOperstars – August 13
  • Mitch “Wild Thing” Williams – August 13

  • Dr. Lori Antiques & Appraisals – August 30

Gametimes for 2008 are 7:05pm Monday – Saturday and 6:05pm on Sundays.  Special 1:05pm starts are scheduled for July 4th and September 1st.    

Season tickets and discounted Bonus Books are currently on sale.  Opening Day tickets and individual game tickets are scheduled to go on sale June 2 at the Cutters box office at Bowman Field or fans can order by phone at (570) 326-3389 and online at www.crosscutters.com.
