Game Recap

Williamsport Dominated by Jammers 10-1
D'Arby Myers Set to Join Cutters

June 27 -
On a night when Williamsport bats fell silent, Cutters pitching broke down, which made for a combination that resulted in a 10-1 loss in Jamestown on Friday night.

Williamsport managed just two hits through the first eight innings.   In the ninth the Cutters managed to hit two doubles which plated their lone run of the game.

Cutters starting pitcher Freddy Ballestas (0-1) was tagged for ten hits and seven runs, all earned.

Outfielder Tim Binkoski, who just joined the Cutters earlier this week, had two of Williamsport’s four hits, including the RBI double in the ninth.

The Cutters will look to avoid the sweep in Jamestown Saturday with a 7:05pm start against the Jammers.

After the game it was announced that OF D’Arby Myers would be joining the team tomorrow from Lakewood (A).  Myers hit .240 in 46 games with the Cutters in ’07 before having his season cut short due to injury.  Myers was hitting .174 in 64 games for Lakewood this season.
