Roth's Gem Gives Cutters 4-0 Win Over State College  Rob Roth tossed 7 shutout innings allowing just 3 hits
June 30 -
A triple by 2B Bryan Frew, followed by a passed ball by State College C Josue Peley in the third inning, was all the run support Williamsport P Robert Roth needed as he won his 3rd game of the season. The Crosscutters who won their 6th game of the year, scored four runs on eight hits, three from OF D’Arby Myers.   

Roth who allowed just three hits in seven innings of work, lowered his ERA to an astonishing 0.90 and didn’t allow a runner to pass second base until the 4th inning. Relief pitcher B.J. Rosenberg picked up his second save of the season by pitching a scoreless ninth.   

C Travis d’Arnaud continued his hitting against State College by adding a single and driving in a run. d’Arnaud is batting .473 with 8 RBI’s in five games against the Spikes this season.   

With the win, the Crosscutters now lead the SawBuck Series 4 games to 1. The two teams will meet again Tuesday night in game six of the SawBuck Series. The game can be heard on ESPN 1050.
