Jammers Spoil Cutters Home Opener
June 20 - The Williamsport Crosscutters in search of evening their record, dropped a heartbreaker in front of their opening night fans Friday night.

DH Scott Thomas got things started off with a single in the bottom of the third. A single by OF Arlon Quiroz and a passed ball by Jamestown catcher Robert Taylor, led to runners at second and third with no outs. After a Brandon Haislet walk, second baseman Daniel Hargrave’s scored a run on a sacrifice fly to center field. Quiroz scored the second run of the inning on a single by 3B Cody Overbeck.

Williamsport would tack on two more runs in the fourth on a double to left field by Thomas. However, that would be it for the Cutters offense.

Jamestown came storming back in the eighth. After a walk to 2B Paul Gran and a throwing error on Overbeck, the Jammers would get on the board on a double by OF Kevin Mattison. A single by Jamestown’s Taylor would lead to two more runs. A balk by Michael Schwimer made it a tie game. Jamestown would take the lead for good on double by 3B Ben Lasater in the 9^th.
